A man, 24, was fatally shot early Saturday during a fight in Chicago's River North neighborhood, CPD said.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- At least 26 people have been shot, five fatally, in gun violence across Chicago so far this weekend, police said.

Man shot, critically injured inside vehicle in River North: Chicago police

A man was shot inside a vehicle in River North early Sunday morning, Chicago police said.

Police said the shooting happened around 3 a.m. in the 200-block of West Hubbard Street.

A 33-year-old man was a passenger inside a vehicle when a white vehicle approached, police said. Someone fired shots before fleeing the scene.

The victim, shot above the right eye, was dropped off at Northwestern Hospital in critical condition.

No one is in custody and Area Three detectives are investigating.

Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.

Man shot near alderwoman's office in Rogers Park, police say

A man was seriously injured in a shooting near an alderwoman's North Side office on Sunday morning, Chicago police said.

Police said the shooting happened around 5:15 a.m. in the 1500-block of West Morse Avenue in the Roger's Park neighborhood. That's near 49th Ward Ald. Maria Hadden's office.

A 27-year-old man was shot in the back, police said. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Hadden said shootings impact everyone and issued a statement, saying in part, "We wish him a speedy recovery and will ensure resources are provided to him for trauma support."

Hadden added that the shooting appears to be targeted and asked anyone with information or video footage to contact police.

No one is in custody. Chicago police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.

3 shot while driving in Back of the Yards, police say

Three people were shot while driving through the city's South Side, according to Chicago police.

The shooting happened at about 1:30 a.m. in the 4300-block of South Hermitage Avenue on Sunday.

Three people were driving in the Back of the Yards neighborhood when an unknown vehicle approached, and someone started shooting at them.

All three were shot, two of which were critically wounded.

A 27-year-old man was shot in the chest and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

A 17-year-old boy was shot twice. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The third victim was a 26-year-old man. He was shot in the arm and was taken to the hospital. He is expected to be okay.

Chicago police said a handgun was recovered from the victim's vehicle.

None in custody. Area One Detectives are investigating.
