After star witness wraps up, jury hears more recordings

Trial expected to last months
CHICAGO (WLS) -- The corruption trial for former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan has begun.
Madigan had been indicted on federal racketeering and bribery charges as a part of what federal prosecutors call "the Madigan enterprise," where they say he allegedly committed crimes for his personal gain and that of his political allies.
The blockbuster trial is expected to take several months.

Former ComEd exec Fidel Marquez wrapped up his testimony Thursday, after six days on the stand.
During cross-examination, Marquez said "we did favors so our legislative agenda was favorably disposed."
Madigan's attorney went after Marquez's character and credibility again, as well.
Star witness Fidel Marquez faced questions from McClain and Madigan's attorney's on Thursday morning.
McClain's attorney Patrick Cotter continued his questioning on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Marquez stuttered as he answered an intense cross-examination from Cotter.
Madigan's attorney Tom Breen also questioned Marquez on Thursday.
The judge called a morning recess at about 10:30 a.m.
The jury entered the courtroom on Thursday at about 9 a.m.
Cross-examination of star witness Fidel Marquez is expected to continue.
Thursday marks the sixth day Marquez takes the stand.
Before the jury entered the courtroom, attorneys discussed whether or not to introduce "certain evidence."
