Metra delays after pedestrian fatally struck

ELMWOOD PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- Metra Milwaukee District-West Line trains resumed service Friday evening with extensive delays after a pedestrian was fatally struck near suburban Elmwood Park.

Shortly before 7 p.m., officials said commuters in both directions should expect 90- to 120-minute delays.

The pedestrian was struck at 73rd and Grand by an outbound train, officials said.
