Morton Grove police find robbery, stabbing report unfounded

MORTON GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- Investigators said Wednesday that a robbery and stabbing that was reported Monday in Morton Grove never happened.

Wendy Barron, 28, originally claimed the man followed her from a Walgreens, pulled up next to her and told her she had a flat fire before stabbing and robbing her.

She was charged with filing a false police report and disorderly conduct.
