Scientists studying tiny T-Rex arms, take piece off famed Chicago fossil 'Sue'

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Armed with a wrench, two Field Museum scientists have removed one of the arms off Sue the T-Rex Thursday morning.

But don't worry, Sue will get her arm back soon.

Her arm is taking a trip to the Argonnne National Laboratory in Lemont so scientists can take a closer look at the fossil.

They want to have a better understanding of how T-Rexes used their tiny arms. They expect to return the arm in a few days.
