BROWARD CO., FL -- A 911 call in Florida went unanswered because the dispatcher was on the line ordering pizza, according to investigators.
It happened back in September, reports WSVN-TV. Broward County Sheriff's Office investigators say a man was was having a seizure at an optometrist's office. Someone tried calling 911, but could never get through. They also didn't receive a call back.
An investigation showed that the only dispatcher available was placing a 7-minute pizza order.
The dispatcher admitted to the pizza order and received reprimand.
Fortunately, the man who passed out regained consciousness and was OK.
