CHICAGO (WLS) -- The city has until Monday at 5 p.m. to release former Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy's emails from last December.

The Chicago Tribune requested those emails in January and later sued to get them. On Wednesday, a judge ruled the emails have to be released.

The city said it plans to turn them over, but lawyers have also filed a motion to vacate the ruling.
