Kids in need getting backpacks filled with school supplies

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Ten thousand students are getting backpacks filled with school supplies to start the year off right.

More than 200 volunteers got to work at the Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory on West George Street.

The group helps provide essential school supplies and clothing to children in need all year round.
