CHICAGO (WLS) -- The cold weather certainly is here and the holidays are fast approaching. Tragically, tens of thousands of fires happen every year around the holidays, causing hundreds of deaths and millions of dollars in property damage.

The Chicago area is no exception to that, but fire deaths are on the decline in the city. Chicago Fire Commissioner Jose Santiago is our guest on ABC7 Newsviews.
