CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago community group is voicing a complaint with Mayor Rahm Emanuel's new television campaign ad.
The ad features a Chicago activist praising the mayor for taking action against coal plants in her Pilsen neighborhood. The Bridgeport Alliance objects to the ad, saying several local residents and community groups worked for years to close those plants
The group said in a statement, "Emanuel is claiming a victory that belongs to the communities, exploiting their success to bolster his campaign."
The mayor's campaign said Emanuel applauds the work of community groups and he was proud to share part of that work.
