Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese was nicknamed "Bayou Barbie" during her time with the LSU Tigers. Now, the "Baltimore Barbie" is set to play her first WNBA game in the DMV area, D.C. plus its Maryland and Virginia suburbs.

Reese, 22, was born and raised in the Charm City, where she played high school basketball for St. Frances Academy. She started her collegiate career with the Maryland Terrapins before transferring to LSU in 2022.

For Thursday's matchup against the Washington Mystics, the 6-foot-3 forward will don a custom pair of Reebok Solutions with a special "Homecoming" paint job. Marvin Baroota, a Chicago-based artist, designed the shoes.

With a white midsole, the shoe's upper part is black with Maryland's state flag illustrated on the toe box. "Barbie" is spelled on the left shoe, with "Baltimore" on the right.

Reese and Baroota have worked together previously this season. On Saturday, Reese wore a pink "Barbie" edition shoe designed by Baroota against the Indiana Fever, a game in which she grabbed 13 rebounds.

Reese debuted custom "Chi Barbie" kicks from Baroota against the New York Liberty on May 23. The shoe possessed the Sky swatches with No. 5 on one shoe and "Chi Barbie" on the other. "A Reese" with a halo was included on the toe box. Reese began debuting custom kicks from Baroota in the Sky's home opener against the Connecticut Sun.

Reese and the Sky will match up against the Mystics at 7 p.m. ET Thursday.
