Hundreds of protesters are expected Friday morning in Manitowoc County, Wis., to show support for Steven Avery and his nephew who were featured in the Netflix series, "Making a Murderer."

Demonstrators believe that Avery and Brendan Dassey were wrongfully convicted in the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach. The men were convicted in separate trials in 2007.

The Netflix series put their cases in the limelight and raised doubts about the validity of their convictions.

"We think he's innocent, and I feel like we need to have our voices be heard. We just want to show our support for these men."

Law enforcement in Manitowoc, about 100 miles north of Milwaukee, are also preparing for possible counter-protesters.
