WOODRIDGE, Ill. (WLS) -- The Woodridge Rotary Club hosts the biggest mini-triathlon in Chicago area on Sunday, August 16.
The proceeds from the annual event help several charities, including West Suburban Community Pantry, Family Shelter Services, Metropolitan Family Services, Special Olympics Illinois, and Hopes Front Door.
The triathlon begins at 7:00am with the swim event at 8301 S. Janes Avenue in Woodridge. Race Director Mike Adams, and Race Volunteer Debbie Mascitti, joined ABC 7 live from the triathlon.

5:30AM Bike Transition Area Opens (BIB #'s required to access transition area)
6:15AM Bike Transition Area Closed to all non-athletes
6:40AM Race Director Race Review/General Announcements
6:45AM National Anthem
6:50-7:00AM Report to assigned pools and line up in consecutive numerical order by BIB number
Timing Chips (ankle bands) will be handed out at swim start locations.
7:00AM Race starts with swim event, swimmer entry every 20 seconds
