Illinois to suspend investments with Wells Fargo

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs said he plans to suspend billions of dollars in state investments with Wells Fargo.

This comes after it was revealed the bank was illegally opening savings and credit card accounts for unknowing customers.

Earlier this week California announced it was also ending business dealings with Wells Fargo.
