Emerald ash borer spotted in suburbs

South suburban Hazel Crest is the latest Chicago suburb invaded by the emerald ash borer.

The beetle was discovered in dozens of trees by an employee of Morton Arboretum.

An estimated 25 million ash trees have been destroyed by the pest in the United States and Canada over the last few years.
