Exercise may impact breast cancer

A new study in the journal Epidemiology finds women with the highest total adult lifetime activity were 20% less likely to have developed breast cancer than the least active women.

The benefits of physical activity appeared to be particularly strong for women who boosted their recreation activity levels in their 50's. Those women lowered their risk by 41%.

Furthermore, exercise was found to be beneficial whether a woman was slim, normal weight, or overweight-- or-- had a family history of breast cancer.
