Walk for Justice marches through downtown

CHICAGO It's the 28th year for the event.

Participants came from churches and activist groups throughout the chicago area. The marchers walked through the Loop and stop at several locations to pray and sing. Their goal is to bring attention to social injustice.

This year's theme was "Truth Cannot Be Silenced."

The walk is described as a contemporary stations of the cross. It is modeled after the Christian tradition that commemorates the walk Jesus made to his execution.
