Annual Piven Theatre Workshop Benefit

Emmy Winner Jeremy Piven will leave the set of HBO's hit TV Show "Entourage" for the weekend and return home to Chicago to host the annual Piven Theatre Workshop Benefit with good friend Billy Dec o Saturday, June 28. The event will take place at Dec's River North hotspot, Rockit Bar & Grill, 22 Wt Hubbard from 6 to 10 p.m. A live and silent auction will feature prizes including as a walk-on role on "Entourage"; autographed sports and entertainment memorabilia; a Chicago Cubs ultimate fan package; and Chicago entertainment packages. "I'm so happy to be coming home to Chicago again to host this great annual event with Billy Dec," said Jeremy Piven. "The training and the fantastic community that I experienced at the Piven Theatre Workshop have impacted me so strongly in my life and I know that's true for so many other individuals and families around Chicago. Piven and Dec have made the Piven Theatre Workshop Annual Benefit the talk of the town, having first successfully hosted the 30th anniversary of the Theatre six years ago. In previous years, special guests have included many celebrated alumni and actors such as John Cusack, Kate Walsh and Aidan Quinn, professional athletes, media, and other local celebrity supporters.

Jeremy's mother, Artistic Director Emeritus Joyce Piven who founded the Piven Theatre Workshop with her late husband Byrne added, "Our Mission has always been to create an artistic community that fosters community outreach. About The Piven Theatre Workshop

The Piven Theatre Workshop has over 35 years of excellence in training children and adults in the theatre arts. Annually, between onsite and off-site programming, the theatre trains approximately 1,400 students, provides approximately $30,000 in need-based scholarships, and maintains an Equity subscription theatre and numerous outreach programs throughout the Chicago area.
