Several suburban police departments are alerting car owners about an increase in burglaries.Glenview police say they have seen at least a dozen vehicle break-ins in a one-week period in July. Officers in Wilmette say they have seen a surge in burglaries involving cars parked on residential streets. At least 30 vehicle were burglarized in Round Lake Beach in June. Police in Wheaton are reporting similar spikes.
