Most slow zones have been eliminated on the CTA Blue Line which services riders heading to and from O'Hare Airport.CTA officials predict that will allow travelers to go from the Loop to O'Hare in under 45 minutes.

"The CTA made it its top priority to improve travel times and the over-all travel experience and we knew the most effective way to do that was to get our trains to travel faster," said Ron Huberman, CTA president.

Huberman says there's still work being done to improve the infrastructure to make the system faster, safer and more reliable.

But the majority of the work has been completed with only three percent of the O'Hare branch of the Blue Line affected by slow zones.
