Chicago's park district golf courses are set for a makeover. A new contract has been approved for the overhaul. Six courses, two miniature golf courses and three driving ranges will get five and a half million dollars in improvements under a 15-year deal.

Many patrons have complained about their condition and opted for suburban courses.

The goal is to increase use by up to ten percent and to make the city courses a tourist attraction.
