'DC 24' heading to inauguration

January 13, 2009 (CHICAGO) The 'DC 24' as they are being called were at Tuesday morning's Cook County Board meeting. A resolution was passed that honors the group for their commitment to excellence.

The students were chosen based on test scores, good behavior and essays about why they should go to the inauguration.

The students will arrive on Saturday and spend four days in the Capitol, visiting national monuments, getting a tour of the white house and meeting with their congressman.
