May 6, 2009 --Gov. Pat Quinn says he no longer wants teachers to spend an extra 2 percent of their paychecks on pensions.Busloads of public school teachers from the Chicago area went to Springfield for a rally on Wednesday. They were against Quinn's original pension plan which he said would help fill the budget deficit.
However, the Illinois Education Organization says they are still fighting the governor's plan to cut pension plans for incoming teachers.
