May 28, 2009 (CHICAGO) --A Chicago police detective pled not guilty to charges in connection with a crash that killed two young men last month.Joseph Frugoli was off-duty when he struck a car carrying 23-year-old Andrew Cazares and 21-year-old Fausto Manzera along the Dan Ryan Expressway.
Prosecutors say Frugoli was drunk at the time of the crash.
Frugoli has been relieved of his police powers. He is currently free after posting a $500,000 bond.
He's expected back in court on July 20th.
