July 10, 2009 (CHICAGO) --A 26-year-old man has been charged in connection with a shooting incident on Chicago's West Side.Willie W. White, of DeKalb, was charged Wednesday with attempted first-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and aggravated assault in the Monday incident. Officers say they responded to a call about a man with a gun in the 1500-block of South Ridgeway.
Police say that White fled on foot and durig the chase, turned and fired a shot at officers.
The gun was later recovered in the 1500-block of South Lawndale, police say.
No injuries were reported.
