Family, friends remember Ryan Harris

July 28, 2009 (CHICAGO) Neighbors in the Englewood community released balloons in memory of Ryan Harris. She was 11 years old when she was kidnapped, raped and murdered.

Prosecutors initially charged two young boys with her murder. But those charges were later dropped.

Floyd Durr was later convicted and sentenced to life in prison for killing Ryan Harris.

Harris' family is pushing for a new law named after the girl that will give first time sex offenders life in prison.
