CHOCOLATE CLUSTERS

So Moms, here's how this recipe works. All you have to do is melt some chocolate.Any type you have on hand will do. Then you simply measure in what I call "mix ins" which is simply a combination of what is available in your pantry. There are samples for each category and you can mix and match based on whatever you have available or whatever your children like. This is so much fun and soooo easy and takes only minutes to put together. Get the kids involved and get creative!!!

2 CUPS semisweet, white or milk chocolate roughly chopped Or (one 12oz. bag chocolate chips)

1 CUP of "mix ins"

  • ½ cup: pretzels broken into 1/4 inch pieces; Potato chips, crushed; Rice crispies; Corn flakes; Graham crackers, roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup: chopped raisins; chopped dried sour cherries; chopped dried cranberries or craisans;
  • 1/4 cup: chopped nuts, almonds, peanuts, cashews or pistachios; marshmallows; peanut butter chips; dried banana chips
  • Place chocolate in the top pan of a double boiler. Fill the bottom pan halfway with water and bring to a gentle simmer. Melt chocolate and remove from heat. Add 1 cup total of "mix ins". Scoop a heaping 1/4 cup mixture and place on a lined baking sheet. Repeat with remaining mixture. Chill
