September 1, 2009 (JOLIET, Ill.) --Two 11-year-old girls are in their parents custody after allegedly starting a fire that destroyed a Joliet warehouse.They face charges of arson in connection with the fire late Sunday night at Tire Grinder Transporters, a tire recycling company.
"The Herald News" reports the two girls lit some paper on fire while playing with a lighter. Flames spread quickly because the warehouse was filled with shredded tires.
The fire burned for nearly 5 hours.
No one was hurt.
