City winter parking restrictions to resume

November 29, 2009 (CHICAGO) Starting December 1 between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m., the city enforces parking restrictions on a number of Chicago's main streets, regardless of whether or not there is snow.

Ignoring the no parking signs could cost drivers a $50 parking ticket, plus $150 for towing and a daily storage fee of $10.

Motorists should also get ready to observe parking restrictions when there is more than two inches of snow.

Winter parking restrictions are in effect December 1 through April 1.
