Chicago 3rd worst in U.S. for traffic tie-ups

Chicago rates among the worst in the nation for traffic tie-ups.

The traffic and navigation service INRIX released its annual survey on traffic congestion.

Chicago ranks third in the country for traffic gridlocks-- behind only Los Angeles and New York City.

The Dan Ryan Expressway inbound at Cermak is rated as the second worst traffic bottleneck.

That's up from 7th place in 2008.

The inbound Ryan at 18th Street is the 8th worst bottle next and the Dan Ryan near 14th Street ranks 10th.
