Daley's top ethics aide resigning

March 29, 2010 (CHICAGO)

Boswell met with his staff Monday, and he told his employees in the city's office of compliance that he was quitting. He gave his letter of resignation to Mayor Daley and reportedly thanked the mayor for allowing him service to the city.

Last month, Boswell was suspended for 30 days for allegedly mishandling a sexual harassment complaint. He then sued the mayor for defamation.

Boswell was hired by Mayor Daley in 2007. His resignation takes effect May 30.
