A Springfield-based gold and silver refinery is purchasing $300,000 in antiques, coins and collectibles.
The Ohio Valley Refinery and Roadshow is being held at the Holiday Inn Express in west suburban St. Charles this week.
Organizers promise an on-the-spot payout and are looking for any gold item.
Items brought in are individually evaluated and then offered to a network of collectors who decide how much they want to spend.
The show ends Friday.
