Mathew Robert Behmke, 31, is accused of assaulting the 5-year-old Schererville girl between February and October of 2009. Behmke lived in Griffith and Schererville at the time of the alleged attacks.
He faces two felony counts of child molestation and one count of attempted child molestation.
Behmke is believed to be in the Colorado Springs, Co., area, so a nationwide warrant was issued for his arrest.
