Survey finds biggest vacation pitfalls

July 15, 2010 A travel insurance website out of the UK called ProtectYourBubble.com asked users about bad experiences.

The site predicts more than 1 million Brits will end up crying on vacation this summer. The most common culprits include flight delays, illness, bad weather, lost luggage, bad sunburns and drinking too much.

Twelve percent of people say they've had "a major blowout" with loved ones on vacation. Three percent ended a romantic relationship. More than a third changed accommodations. And 14 percent had it so bad, they just went back home.
