A Chicago man was charged with three felony counts of burlgary Saturday night after allegedly stealing from area churches.

The donation boxes were pried open at a church in the 800-block of W. Roosevelt Road and another on the 1900-block of S. Ashland in Pilsen.

Ruben Pavon, Jr., 47, was allegedly captured on video taking money from a collection box in one of the incidents.

In another incident, police say a priest witnessed him using a bolt cutter to cut the lock off of a donation box.
