USO Star-Spangled Salute Gala

(News Release) In a twenty-eight year tradition, the USO of Illinois will host its annual USO Star-Spangled SaluteGala, Chicago's premier patriotic gala. The USO Salute Gala features a star-studded evening of entertainment and unparalleled military pageantry in honor and support of the men, women and families of the U.S. Armed Forces. Special guests and Chicago's own Bonnie Hunt will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies, "CSI NY's" Gary Sinise will perform with his Lt. Dan Band and ABC 7 Chicago's Stacey Baca will be a special presenter on behalf of Gold Star Families and Wounded Warriors. The event showcases unique performances by area military units, including the 85th Army Band, U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command 50 State Flag Unit, MEPCOM Joint Service Color Guard and the U.S. Coast Guard Silent Drill Team, and also features a USO "Toast to the Troops" Wine Auction, Silent Auction and Live Auction. Proceeds from the USO Salute Gala help the USO of Illinois provide care and comfort to military personnel living in, travelling through and deployed fromIllinois.
