4 hospitalized after late night Cicero stabbing

October 9, 2010 (CICERO, Ill.)

Four people appear to have been injured as a result of the stabbing. None of the injuries appear to be life threatening, but all of the victims were transferred to area hospitals.

The stabbings apparently took place in two locations.

The first stabbing occurred around 3:30 a.m. in the 1500-block of South 61st Avenue in Cicero. Detectives were concentrating their efforts on this scene Saturday morning, collecting evidence and interviewing neighbors.

Neighbors told ABC 7 that one of the people stabbed is a father of three. They say he had just arrived home from working the late shift at a local restaurant. He was sitting on his porch with his brother and other friends when at least two more men approached them and an argument ensued.

One neighbor told ABC 7 that she didn't see the argument occur, but she did see two people run away from the scene after it happened.

Police have not made any arrests.

The second scene involved in this incident is about nine blocks away, at 58th Avenue and Roosevelt. Detectives were also there collecting evidence, although it is not yet clear what happened there.
