The tea party has launched a 30-city tour to get out the vote for the November 2nd election. On Friday, the Chicago Tea Party unveiled its first television commercial.

"We want more freedom, not more debt; more jobs, not more bureaucrats," the ad says. "No more takeovers. No more bailouts."

The party said it features real, reasonable people. Officials also played a radio commercial.

Speakers said Democrats control the federal government, Illinois and Chicago, which is why they are being targeted in the upcoming election.

However, the tea party members stress that if Republicans gain control, the tea party will vigorously oppose them unless they reduce taxes and spending and provide smaller government.
