Wis. woman offered big bucks for big buck

November 28, 2010 (MADISON, Wis.)

It turns out the whitetail buck might be worth more to her.

She hit it this month while with her 4-year-old daughter and her 18-year-old-niece.

After calming her passengers, Morga got an inkling the deer was special when a truck driver started taking photos.

The buck has 15 points, a near two-foot chasm between its antler tips and three rare "drop tines." Those are antler points growing down from the main beam instead of up, a characteristic of older bucks.

She tells the Wisconsin State Journal that she's been offered up to $10,000. After people started calling at all hours and stopping by, she says she sent the head and antlers out of state.
