Quinn: Swearing-in to be 'frugal' not 'chintzy'

December 9, 2010 (CHICAGO) That was when Quinn replaced former governor Rod Blagojevich. When Quinn is sworn in for a full term on January 10th along with other constitutional officers, he says there will be a simple celebration paid for by private donors.

"Well, it will be frugal, but it won't be chintzy, I don't believe in that, I believe in doing something in a meaningful way that's thrifty and connects to the people," said Quinn.

Governor Quinn made his comments after attending a holiday breakfast benefiting the Haymarket Center, which is a drug and alcohol treatment facility.
