Officials say a 12-year-old girl was waiting for the bus Thursday morning in the 1200-block of Jericho Road.
A man in a dark-colored car lowered the passenger's side window and asked if she wanted a ride. The girl ran away.
The car is described as having dark-tinted windows with scratches and a loud exhaust pipe.
The West Aurora School District sent notices about the incident to parents.
