Sheriff: Clarendon Hills grow operation busted

March 25, 2011 (CLARENDON HILLS, Ill.)

Stephen M. Baker was arrested Thursday night and charged with one count of Production or Possession of Cannabis Plants over 200 plants, which is a class one felony.

Sheriff John E. Zaruba said deputies responded to a call of suspicious incident from the owner of the building in the 5900-block of Clarendon Hills Rd. The landlord reportedly told police he was checking on a water leak when he saw the marijuana plants.

Sheriff Zaruba said a search warrant was issued and police recovered more than 400 cannabis plants throughout the home.

Baker was booked into the DuPage County Jail and was released after he posted $10,000.00 bond.
