This half-hour special features a one-on-one interview with the Mayor along with reports from the ABC 7 News team including Political Reporter Charles Thomas, Ben Bradley, Cheryl Burton, Chuck Goudie, Paul Meincke and will air Thursday, May 12 at 10:35 pm on ABC 7 Chicago.

CHICAGO'S MAYOR: THE DALEY YEARS will look at Mayor Daley's accomplishments, his critics and the emotion of leaving the job he loved and which made him one of the most powerful men in the country. We'll talk to the mayor about his family, his political impact, his travel around the world, future plans and what he hopes his legacy will be.

ABC 7's Political reporter Charles Thomas examines how he was able to bring together a racially divided city; reporter Ben Bradley spotlights the Mayor's international aspirations for Chicago including his stinging Olympic bid defeat; anchor Cheryl Burton takes a close-up at the city's landscape and the Mayor's efforts to go green; investigative reporter Chuck Goudie targets the controversy over his tenure; reporter Paul Meincke gives a snapshot of Daley over the years including some of his most colorful and funny comments.

Finally, the Mayor lets his hair down when he turns the tables and interviews his press secretary, Jackie Heard.
