Lavoyda Lenard died suddenly on Monday.
Lenard passed away at the age of 51. The cause of death still has not been disclosed, but authorities say they do not suspect foul play.
The funeral was attended by practically the entire organization: Coach Lovie Smith, GM Jerry Angelo, president Ted Phillips, and chairman George McCaskey as well as several players.
Co-captain Julius Peppers reportedly rented a private jet and flew down most of the defense to support their man in the middle.
The team will next fly to New Orleans where they'll have no easy task of taming the Saints high-powered offense in the Big Easy.
