Martina McBride sings at Union Station

October 12, 2011 (CHICAGO)

Country singer Martina McBride was scheduled to perform six songs in the Great Hall at approximately 7:45 a.m.

McBride is traveling cross-country by Amtrak to promote her new album, "Eleven."

The train trip is also about raising awareness of breast cancer during October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

McBride's new album was released this week and it includes an anthem for people going through breast cancer. The song is called "I'm Gonna Love You Through It." The train tour has the support of a breast cancer awareness initiative.

Her train tour kicked off in Los Angeles and will wrap up in New York.

Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn, who is also a country music fan, will welcome McBride to Chicago.
