Christopher Love, 23, of the 2400 block of N. Lincoln Ave., is charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of soliciting a prostitute. He is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
Police said Sarai Michaels, of La Crosse, Wis., was stabbed multiple times and was found lying beside a bloody knife inside a room at the four-star Hotel Felix, located on Huron between Clark and LaSalle. The 31-year-old had a long criminal history, according to police.
Police found Michaels' body just after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
