An alleged Chicago gang member who was reportedly working as a cook in the Dirksen federal building is being held on $20,000 bail.

Daniel Rivera, 25, was arrested Saturday night in the 5200 block of South Kolin. Police were patrolling the area, and prosecutors say they spotted Rivera selling drugs.

Rivera allegedly told police his father kept a gun in his house. Rivera is a convicted felon and is barred by law from possessing a gun. He faces drug and gun possession charges.
