On Friday, cheerleaders from Riverside Brookfield High School presented hundreds of toys they collected after hearing about Maddy Schicker's effort.
The girl had drawn a flyer and shared it with a neighbor who's a cheerleader at the high school.
So what did Schicker's flyer say?
"It said please help me make sick kids' holidays bright by giving toys for Christmas," she said.
Maddy chose Children's Memorial Hospital because she had surgery there as a baby.
