So Tuesday the Warrior's Watch Riders along with members the town of Cicero threw him a hero's welcome home party.
"My service was out of my heart and for you to thank me for it, I feel truly blessed for what I have gotten. Thank you," said Alanis.
Alanis was honored during a town council meeting by the village's board president and the mayor. He was also presented with a certificate of appreciation for his service.
