Lawyer: Firebomb suspect may have been drunk

May 23, 2012 (CHICAGO)

Sebastian Senakiewicz appeared in court Wednesday. Prosecutors say he told others he's a member of a Black Bloc anarchist group. No explosives were found in the home where he was staying.

Senakiewicz's lawyer argues his client may have been drunk when he made the statements about his alleged plans.

Senakiewicz's mother calls the Northwest Side resident a "good boy."

"I don't know anything about the case. But I am here to support my son. And my belief is that he's not guilty," said

In a separate case, Mike Neiweem of Chicago was arrested because officials say he was looking for materials to make a pipe bomb.

In court Wednesday, his lawyer questioned why his client was arrested over a conversation with undercover police officers.
